Healing Visits

Hospice, Hospitals & End-of-Life Care

Honey visits children in hospice care, burn units, hospitals, and end-of-life settings. She provides deep pressure therapy, tactile redirection, and quiet companionship. Every visit includes a HoneyGram — a handwritten card left behind as a tangible reminder: you are not alone. Honey is a certified therapy dog, trained specifically to work in high-emotion, high-sensitivity environments. She reads the room, adjusts her energy, and meets each person exactly where they are.

  • Hospice and palliative care facilities
  • Pediatric and burn units
  • Long-term care and memory care
  • End-of-life home visits (by request)
  • HoneyGram delivery with every visit
Crisis & Community Response
Program 02

Crisis & Community Response

First Responders, Dispatchers & Trauma Scenes

Honey is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and is deployed to scenes of tragedy, loss, and trauma. She supports police officers, firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, hospital staff, and entire communities after critical incidents. Honey helps people process grief, regulate anxiety, and feel less alone in the aftermath of the unthinkable. Her presence at crisis scenes has been described as 'medicine that doesn't come in a bottle.'

  • Police and fire department CISM support
  • EMS and dispatcher wellness visits
  • Hospital staff support after critical events
  • Community response after mass casualty events
  • Line-of-duty death support

Mental Health & Education

Schools, Panels & Awareness Events

Powered by Vindec EU, Honey participates in trauma-informed panels, grief education sessions, and mental health awareness events at schools, hospitals, and first responder organizations. Stefan and Honey teach service dog etiquette, advocate for shelter adoption, and help break the stigma surrounding dogs labeled as 'misunderstood.' They speak to the power of second chances for dogs and for people.

  • School mental health awareness events
  • Trauma-informed panel discussions
  • Service dog etiquette education
  • Shelter adoption advocacy
  • Grief and loss education sessions
Faith & Chaplaincy
Program 04

Faith & Chaplaincy

Spiritual Support, Prayer & End-of-Life Presence

Honey On Duty is not a religious nonprofit but faith is clearly part of the calling. Stefan serves as a chaplain-in-training, offering chaplain-style presence rooted in compassion and consent. Prayer and spiritual conversation are offered only when requested. We provide support at end-of-life moments, funerals, memorials, and crisis scenes with deep respect for all belief systems and zero pressure.

  • Chaplain-style presence at crisis scenes
  • Prayer and spiritual support when requested
  • End-of-life and hospice bedside presence
  • Funeral and memorial participation
  • Respect for all belief systems

Future Dogs, Shelter Advocacy & Service Placement

Honey is the origin story but the mission is bigger than one dog. We publicly advocate for shelter dogs and ethical service dog training, and are building a future-phase program to identify high-potential dogs from shelters or professional programs. All placements follow stewardship-focused models: sponsor-funded training, donor-backed placement, and adoption-style frameworks never transactional or auction-based. Every future dog is placed through formal vetting with co-ownership agreements and lifetime accountability.

  • Public shelter dog advocacy
  • Ethical service dog training standards
  • Donor-funded training sponsorship
  • Mission-backed service dog placement
  • Veterinary collaboration for medical clearance
Storytelling & Outreach

Storytelling & Outreach

Documentation, Content & Community Engagement

Every visit, every crisis response, every HoneyGram delivered is a story worth telling. We document Honey's travel, visits, and community work through films, podcasts, blogs, and social media showing real work, not just highlight reels. Storytelling is how we attract donors, partners, sponsors, and volunteers. It's how Honey's mission grows beyond the rooms she visits and into the hearts of people who've never met her.

  • Documentary-style travel documentation
  • Podcast, blog, and social media content
  • HoneyGram outreach and brand development
  • Media engagement for donor and partner growth
  • Vehicle presence and community visibility

Travel & Tours

Honey Goes Where She's Needed

Honey is one of the most well-traveled therapy dogs in America. She's logged 30+ flights, driven thousands of miles, and shown up in cities and towns across the country — always calm, always ready, always healing. Travel is part of the mission. Healing doesn't stay in one zip code.

Flying with a Service Dog: Honey's Tips

After 30+ flights, Honey and Stefan have learned a thing or two about stress-free air travel with a service dog. Here's what works.

01

Prepare your documentation

Carry your service dog certification, health records, and any airline-required forms. Have digital copies too.

02

Arrive early

Give yourself extra time for TSA. Honey goes through the metal detector on-leash — no crate required.

03

Practice airport environments

Expose your dog to crowds, noise, and moving walkways before your first flight. Desensitization is key.

04

Book the bulkhead

Extra floor space makes a huge difference for a 60-pound dog on a 4-hour flight.

05

Hydrate and potty before boarding

Find the pet relief area before security. Honey always gets a walk and water before we board.

06

Stay calm — they feel everything

Your dog mirrors your energy. If you're anxious, they'll be anxious. Breathe. You've got this.

The Education Arm: Vindec EU

Vindec EU is where the mission becomes a movement. Through free and low-cost workshops, panels, and community events, Stefan and Honey take everything they've learned in hospitals, crisis scenes, and hospice rooms — and bring it into schools, organizations, and public spaces. Sessions cover grief, trauma, burnout, emotional regulation, and how animals support safety. The goal isn't just to heal the people in front of them. It's to build a community that knows how to heal itself.
