Dr. Brianna R. Horricks, B.V.M.S., is Co-Founder of The Honey On Duty Project and the Managing DVM at Ferry Farm Animal Clinic in Fredericksburg, VA. Known locally as "Honey's Doctor," she provides the clinical oversight that anchors the nonprofit's mission in veterinary excellence. A 2014 graduate of the University of Glasgow and a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Horricks' clinical focus includes small-animal internal medicine, diagnostic ultrasonography (POCUS), and oncology. She completed multiple international externships during veterinary school and continues to combine evidence-based medicine with clear client communication.

Her public work centers on practical guidance for service dogs, working dogs, and traveling companions — with an emphasis on single-ingredient, slow-dehydrated, low-odor nutrition that supports digestion, behavior regulation, and travel safety. As Co-Founder and the veterinary lead, Dr. Horricks ensures that Honey's Dog Treats meet a Service Dog Standard: mission-vetted, clinically sensible, and appropriate for use in demanding real-world settings.

Honey On Duty is grateful to have her alongside us, capturing the meaningful work we do and the moments that make it special.

And of Course — Honey

Honey is the origin story and the heart of the project. Twice surrendered, once chosen — she is living proof that the right dog in the right hands can change the world. Future dogs will continue her legacy, but Honey remains the foundation of everything we do.
