HoneyGrams Project - Honey On Duty | 1 Million Notes of Hope

What is a HoneyGram?

A HoneyGram is a short, heartfelt note written by a stranger to a stranger — designed to bring joy, spark imagination, and remind someone they are loved.

Many HoneyGrams travel with Honey into hospitals, hospice rooms, crisis scenes, and community events as part of our six core programs — especially Healing Visits and Crisis & Community Response.

How It Works

Honey and Stefan personally deliver these notes or send them by mail to children in hospice, hospital patients, first responders, and people who need encouragement.

Every HoneyGram is a small moment of connection — proof that someone, somewhere, took time to care.

"Hi Friend, If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I'd pick flying so I could visit you every day. 💛 Your buddy, Alex"

HoneyGrams in Action

Real cards, real paws, real moments of hope. Use these spaces to show what a HoneyGram looks like and how Honey helps deliver them during hospital visits, hospice days, crisis response, and community events.

Two Tracks

Track 1

For Children in Hospice

Create moments of wonder, laughter, and comfort — without talking about illness or goodbyes. Many of these cards travel with Honey into hospice rooms and pediatric units as part of our Healing Visits program.

Write About:

  • Magical adventures
  • Funny animal moments
  • Favorite foods, games, or hobbies
  • Nature and beautiful places

Prompt Ideas:

  • "If you had a pet dragon, what would you name it?"
  • "If we built a treehouse, it would have..."
  • "The stars are out tonight and I think they're twinkling just for you."
  • "If I could give you a superpower, it would be..."

Sample Messages:

"Hi Friend, If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I'd pick flying so I could visit you every day. 💛 Your buddy, Alex"
"Dear Superhero, Today I saw a rainbow and I decided it was your rainbow. 🌈 Hugs, Mia"

Track 2

For the General Public

Brighten anyone's day — strangers, neighbors, workers, travelers, or someone going through a tough moment. These often show up during Crisis & Community Response work, community activations, and everyday kindness missions.

Write About:

  • Encouragement & support
  • Kindness & gratitude
  • Hope & inspiration

Prompt Ideas:

  • "You matter. You make this world better."
  • "Something good is coming your way."
  • "You are stronger than you think."
  • "I hope today gives you one reason to smile."

Sample Messages:

"Hello, You may not know me, but I wanted to say you're doing better than you think. Keep going — you've got this. 💪 From a stranger who cares"
"Hi, You're worth so much more than you realize. ✨ With kindness, A Friend"

Writing Guidelines

What to Avoid in Any HoneyGram

✓ DO Include

  • Kind, positive messages
  • Imagination & wonder
  • Encouragement & hope
  • Inclusive language
  • Short, simple messages
  • Your first name or "Your friend"

✗ DON'T Include

  • Mentions of illness or hospitals
  • "Get well soon" messages
  • Anything that sounds like goodbye
  • Religious content (unless specifically requested)
